We recently purchased the Gazelle Tents G6 Deluxe 6-Sided Portable Gazebo and couldn’t be happier with our purchase. The setup was quick and easy – it took me less than 5 minutes to set up the entire gazebo. And that includes rolling up the sides and getting it set up to entertain.
The G6 Deluxe is incredibly spacious, with enough room to fit a large group of people comfortably. The six-sided design provides great ventilation, keeping the gazebo cool even on hot days. The large, zippered doors make entering and exiting the gazebo a breeze, and the walls can be easily rolled back and secured to create an open-air feel.
I was also impressed with the durability of the G6 Deluxe. The sturdy construction and high-quality materials make it a great investment for outdoors and overlanding. The waterproof roof and walls kept us dry during a steady rainstorm, and the rust-resistant steel frame held up well against strong winds. We had this tent set up during 35 mph gusts and it held fast with the solid spikes. One key feature we found when dealing with high winds during setup and use was the ability to open the windows allowing the breeze to pass through the tent.
Our first use for a multi-day setup was camping in the infield of the Carteret County Speedway during a spring gravel cycling event. Not far from where our setup was a “knock-off” version of the gazebo struggling against the wind, which eventually won since it lacked the ability to open the sides.
One minor issue we did face with the tent was a couple of small pinprick holes in the roof near the apex of the tent. Gazelle was very responsive and offered to send a patch kit, as well as, a floor for the tent as a means to make up for the inconvenience. They also offered to replace the tent if we were willing to field destroy the original. It seemed so wasteful to destroy the tent for such a minor issue that we opted instead to simply apply some Tenacious Tape (you do keep a roll handy, right?) and see how it worked out. As expected the tape did its job as advertised and held fast against the wind and rain.
I should also note this gazebo is big. Like really big. There is a way to carry it inside the bed of my short bed Tacoma, but it would have to be diagonal. The case the gazebo comes with is very robust and sturdy. So I simply strapped the gazebo beside my rooftop tent on my Billie Bars with some webbed straps. On our first trip, we traveled 6 hours with highway speeds reaching 75 mph and it did not move one bit.
So I can easily recommend the Gazelle Tents G6 Deluxe 6-Sided Portable Gazebo to anyone in need of a reliable, spacious, and easy-to-set-up outdoor shelter. It’s perfect for camping trips, backyard barbecues, and outdoor events of all kinds.
